- CREATIVE FRAMING -
Artwork is anything important to you to hang on your walls and enjoy on a daily basis. It might be a poster of your most favorite rock group, a child’s free-spirited rendering of your family, a football jersey, a collection of buttons, your mother’s hat with a photo of her wearing it, a snapshot of your favorite vacation spot, a wedding portrait, and/or oil painting. Whatever it is our trained staff is ready to advise you. We will help you with color, frame selection and design. If you need a creative shadowbox, we will construct one in any size to showcase your special objects. Moreover, if your artwork is delicate, limited, signed, original and/or irreplaceable we will advise you on the methods of conservation framing, including what these terms mean in protecting your artwork. Please do not hesitate to come to us with unusual requests, for as creative framers we delight in complementing your artwork with just the right faux finish, french lines, hand- painted frame, hand-colored mats, and/or specialty designed openings. We love the challenge and try to “meet and exceed your expectations."
At Lazar’s Art Gallery, not only do we CARE about presenting your artwork in the best possible way, but we also care about preserving them for many years to come using methods we call “Art Conservation”. Art conservation involves methods and materials used by our professional framers to protect your artwork. In summary, our goal is to not only make your artwork beautiful, but to protect it from unseen effects caused environmental exposure. It is important to us that you understand the benefits of conservation framing. To understand these benefits you need to become familiar with some of the terminology, including UV damage, foxing and cockling, and acid burning. From Elizabeth and Lazer Tarzan Sr. who started our gallery 38 years ago to the newest members of our staff, we have between us over 200 years of experience and knowledge in the framing industry. Since that first day in 1966 we have striven to make that vision statement a reality for our clientele.
