We are a husband and wife team who maintain a full-time studio in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The current direction in our pottery is in exploring the primitive and mysterious act of creativity, to strip away all the trappings of the modern world and return to the basic elements of fire, earth, water and air. These unique pieces of handmade pottery are functional as well as decorative art sculpture. The interesting detail work on both the top and bottom of the shells enable it to be enjoyed and viewed from either side. They are even "oven safe" so that wonderful foods can be baked and presented "right in the shell". The shells and the accent plates, platters, bowl and mugs are microwave & dishwasher safe.
